Welcome to Learn Trapshooting, your one-stop resource for trapshooting training in Canada.

Learn to Shoot Trap with a Coach of Learn Trapshooting

Whether you are new to trap shooting and would like to learn what trapshooting is all about; or you are a seasoned trapshooter, we welcome you!

Based in Ontario, Canada, learntrapshooting.ca’s mission is to promote the beautiful sport of trapshooting (or trap shooting) in Ontario and across Canada by providing excellent training and access to quality shooting programs and coaching resources for people of all ages, gender or physical abilities in a safe, enjoyable and rewarding environment.

In spite of lack of media coverage, the sport of trapshooting is an old and exciting sport, introduced to the Olympic program in 1900; the current version was introduced in 1950.

According to the ATA, last year alone 54,208 members participated in some 6,275 registered trapshooting tournaments throughout North America. In total over 1,300 ATA affiliated trapshooting gun clubs threw 82,480,480 clay targets.

We use the best facilities available; our professional staff will ensure a safe, fun introduction into how to shoot trap. For the advanced athletes who require specialized trapshooting training regimens our certified coaches provide comprehensive training programs as well as coaching throughout the entire trapshooting competition season.

“The Certified Coach (Level 2) is certified by the NRA, USA Shooting and the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) that, in our opinion, and based upon the evidence available to the NRA, USA Shooting and CMP, the candidate meets the requirements, which have been set for certification. First ATA registered shoot of the season - amazing trapshooting! - Sunday, May 24, 2009

LearnTrapshooting.ca athletes shot their first registered tournament of the season at Hamilton Gun Club. Five athletes shot their first ATA competition ever! Welcome to registered shooting. The team performed amazing, personal records got blasted and extremely high scores were recorded: 99, 98, 95 in singles and an amazing 95 in doubles, Learntrapshooting Canada athletes broke a record of NINE 25 straights in one single day! Congratulations, your coaches are very proud of each and everyone of you.

Alicia won the Paul Shaw doubles ladies event then shot off three extra rounds to win the Lady Champion trophy. Frank became the Provincial Champion in his yardage group.
